Do you need a safety certificate?
You're buying or selling
Surveys and solicitors ask for one regularly, and buyers increasingly want to know what they're taking on. On a house you've never lived in, it's the only reliable way to find out what's behind the walls.
Something isn't right
Breakers tripping for no obvious reason, scorch marks around a socket, or an installation nobody has looked at in a decade. A domestic installation should be inspected at least every ten years.

Craig of ESL has maintained, tested and updated the electrical installations of my home and rental properties for nearly 20 years. He is without doubt one of the most proficient, knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy contractors I've ever worked with.
Craig came to do a couple of small jobs and update our electrical certificate. When here he identified that our extension was unsafe and needed rewiring. He explained everything that he found and did throughout the job.
Craig is brilliant! Fast and efficient, thorough and so clean and tidy. I have used ESL in 2 houses, one for odd electrical jobs and the other for a full house rewire. Always on time, to agreed budgets.
Craig has been helping us over the last 6 months, fixing all sorts of issues left by the previous owners. No job was too big or small. So good to have finally found a reliable, affordable electrician that I can trust.
